Our founder, Karen Buckalew, MN, APRN-C, MSCP, brings over three decades of healthcare experience to Boutiq Medical Clinic. Her extensive background as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner has provided her with a deep understanding of patient care, which she has seamlessly integrated with her passion for aesthetic medicine.
With over 13 years of experience in the aesthetics field, Karen is an advanced injector and a respected aesthetic trainer, ensuring that our clinic operates at the highest standard of care.
Karen's journey in healthcare began as a cardiac nurse in a progressive care unit. After earning her Master's degree in Nursing from Florida State University, she gained invaluable experience in internal medicine, family practice, and urgent care. This diverse clinical background, combined with her specialized training in aesthetics, allows her to offer a holistic approach to patient wellness that is both safe and effective.
As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, Karen leads her menopause and perimenopause program, the Radiance Revival Method™, which brings hormone-informed care, body composition and advanced aesthetics into one plan.

Karen Buckalew, MN, APRN-C, MSCP is the heart and soul of Boutiq Medical Clinic.
A Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), Karen founded the clinic with a vision to create a space where women could receive comprehensive, evidence-based care that addresses the full spectrum of their health and wellness needs. Her passion for supporting women through the often-chaotic stages of perimenopause and menopause is deeply personal, inspired by her own mother's struggles with unmanaged symptoms.
This experience ignited a fire in Karen to create a better standard of care, one that empowers women to navigate menopause with confidence and vitality. Her credentials are a testament to her dedication, including a Master's Degree in Nursing from Florida State University and certifications from the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery. She also completed a prestigious preceptorship with Dr. Patrick Bitter Jr., the “Godfather of Light,” for advanced certification in Sciton's BBL HERO and mJOULE laser systems.
